We celebrate the Western Cape’s unique and diverse local history, culture, heritage and natural beauty. Across 32 museums, we share the stories that shaped our province - from the lives of early modern humans to those of the people who call the Western Cape home today. Our museums explore our deep past, the Indigenous peoples of this land, and the deep impact of colonialism - including enslavement and apartheid. They also honour the cultural traditions, Indigenous knowledge, and resilience that continue to thrive. What makes our museums unique is how we connect with our communities.
