Bartolomeu Dias Museum

Key turning points in human and South African history happened in Mossel Bay: From the earliest modern humans to the creation of a maritime trade route between Europe and Asia, this place shaped South Africa, the world and connected the southern Cape to the wider world.

The museum brings these important moments in time to life through the eyes of local residents, some  whose families  have called this area home for centuries.
