Worcester Museum

Worcester Museum staff Nov 2025 edited

The Worcester Museum is a museum in transition. Originally an agricultural museum that included local history, the museum is shifting its focus to the history of organizations supporting people with disabilities in the town. Worcester is the home of the National Institute for the Deaf and Innovation for the Blind and a range of industries that developed around these institutions.

Not forgetting its institutional past, the museum continues to focus on the relationship between people and the land. Being less than 90 minutes from Cape Town, it is the perfect day trip to enjoy farm-life, interact with farm animals and enjoy the museum’s famous bread and milk tart.
