Create Your own Wrapping Paper

The books in the Western Cape Archives don’t just contain valuable information — sometimes their covers are works of art themselves! We’ve created a set of high-quality marbled papers taken from archival record covers for anyone to use for arts, crafts, school projects, or digital designs. Marbling is a traditional technique where paint is floated on water and then transferred onto paper. Each colour is applied separately, making every pattern beautifully unique. Have fun, explore, and enjoy! We would love to see what you create: archives.outreach@westerncape.gov.za
