George Museum

The George Museum exhibits the history of George and the surrounding areas. There is a special focus on the timber industry, which played a crucial role in the development and economy of the town. The exhibition of the impact of forced removals in the town shows the impact of apartheid on individuals and communities.

The Sayers Hall showcases contemporary fine art and decorative art and is managed in partnership with the Friends of the George Museum and the Southern Cape Association for Visual Arts (SCAVA).
